A new section, 'Updating information', has been inserted, which states:
Once registered, you will be provided with your account details and you may manage your details in the Portal. This includes checking the information is accurate, registering a new location or area, and updating a location contact.
These terms of use describe your rights and responsibilities as a user of the Business Registration Portal (Portal). By providing information for, and when accessing, the Portal, you agree to be bound by these terms of use.
The Portal is operated by the State of Victoria acting through the Department of Premier and Cabinet (Department/we/us/our).
We may update these Terms from time to time and will make these updates available on the Portal. If you do not agree with any amendments to these Terms, you must stop using the Portal.

You must use this Portal only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of or restrict or inhibit the use and enjoyment of this Portal by any third party. This includes conduct which is unlawful or which may harass or cause distress or inconvenience to any person, the transmission of obscene or offensive content or disruption to this Portal.
You must comply with all relevant and applicable laws, regulations, rules, policies and guidelines when using this Portal.
You must ensure, to your own knowledge, that any information you provide for this Portal is accurate and otherwise not misleading or deceptive.
You must not post or transmit via this Portal any unlawful, defamatory, obscene, offensive or scandalous material, or any material that constitutes or encourages conduct that would contravene any law.
You agree not to use any device, software or routine to interfere or attempt to interfere with the proper working use of this Portal.

You must obtain the consent of any individual whose personal information is provided for this Portal (e.g. the name and contact details of the contact person for the business being registered).

The intellectual property rights in all software and content (including photographic images) made available to you on or through this Portal remain our property or the property of our licensors and are protected by copyright laws. All such rights are reserved by us and our licensors.

- for the information, data or advice (or the use of such information, data or advice) which is provided for or on this Portal or incorporated into it by reference; or
- for any interference with or damage to a user's computer, software or data occurring in connection with or relating to this Portal or its use.

These terms of use are governed by, and are to be construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia. You agree that the courts of the State of Victoria, Australia have non-exclusive jurisdiction with respect to any matter arising from these terms of use or this website.
If any part of these terms of use is found to be invalid that part may be reduced to the extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable, or severed and the remaining parts of these terms of use enforced.
