COVIDSafe Plans in TAFE and training operations

Adult education providers must have a comprehensive COVIDSafe plan in place for on-site training. For multi-use buildings (i.e. childcare, office space, training rooms), the COVIDSafe Plan must address all aspects of the relevant location. A COVIDSafe Plan is required for each separate facility.

Current restrictions

COVIDSafe Settings are now in place across Victoria.

Adult education settings must continue to have COVIDSafe Plans in place.

VCE and VCAL students

In metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria, all students have resumed full-time on-site learning.

This includes VCE and VCAL students in non-school senior secondary providers and those in VETiS programs.

Health and safety measures must be followed, as outlined in the essential assessments advice provided by the VCAA. This also applies to students at non-school secondary providers and VET programs delivered by TAFEs and RTOs to school students.

Supporting students to complete VCAL and VET studies

As part of an assistance package announced by the Victorian Government on Friday 25 September 2020, students were able to access special consideration to support them to achieve their VCAL certificates, and those school students who were unable to complete their VET qualifications will be guaranteed enrolment at TAFE or dual sector providers to complete their studies in 2021.
