Registered Nurse Naz Rind: support your community

[Naz Rind, Registered Nurse]: I’d like to acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the land on which I am standing. The land of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation.

I would like to pay my respects to their Elders past and present and acknowledge all Aboriginal and all Torres Strait Islander people.

Today I will state that Sovereignty has not been ceded. I would also like to thank the Wurundjeri people for welcoming me on their land as I am from Whadjuk Country.

Choosing to get the COVID-19 vaccine is the best way to protect you, your family and your community.

Getting a COVID-19 vaccine will help protect you from getting sick from COVID-19.

The vaccines we use in Australia are very effective at preventing serious illness due to COVID-19.

As more people get vaccinated, the more the community is protected. This also makes it harder for COVID-19 to spread.

COVID-19 vaccines are free, safe and voluntary. Choosing to get vaccinated helps protect our mob, family and our community.
